purchased this power plant at the end of Oct. I have tested now for the past several months. At the beginning, when using with propane, the engine was running rough and the generator did not produced enough energy. When using gas, the engine runs wonderfully. After starting with gas and switching over to propane, the engine runs just fine. We'll continue testing and keeping an eye on it

I just purchased this iGen 4500DF and so far am very pleased. Hooked up the battery and propane tank and it started after about 10 seconds to purge out the propane line. Remote start and dual fuel was, in my opinion, a necessity so I can start it from inside my RV and use my onboard propane as fuel (but have the option of regular gas if needed). Fairly quiet but I will be adding a remote exhaust in the near future. I hooked up some 1000 watt shop lights and a bench grinder and it showed a 25% load which I considered appropriate.

It Works Like a Charm

This is my first experience using a generator. The instructions were clear and the appliances we need to run during a power outage all run just fine without straining this power output. Having this generator adds another layer of safety to our household.
The only design flaw I found was that one has to unscrew the oil funnel, screw in and unscrew the cap to check the levels - kind of messy. I can't think of a better solution though, and it's a small inconvenience.

Easy setup - Works 1st time

Bought this for emergency use during power outages. It was very easy to setup & everything worked perfectly straight out of the box. I plan to run this on propane only & couldn't be happier with purchase after much research. Very quiet operation is great for overnight operation

Problem already

I bought this last week following the start up and break in period it works so far with the pull cord haven’t put it under much of a load since first 5 hours can’t be more then 50% but the electric start doesn’t work I’ve tried the button and remote it just clicks 3 times and nothing hopefully Westinghouse will fix this issue.
