Once I decided that I had a need for a generator; I started researching, and I do this in depth. I knew that I wanted an inverter with the highest wattage and lowest THD that I could get. After watching the Westinghouse engine assembly video and QC inspection, coupled with all the features that I wanted, I knew that this generator is what I needed. The dual fuel option is an excellent addition. The portability with the lift handles and towing handle is a great asset. My wife likes the electric start and operational simplicity. Plus the generator is quiet and visually appealing.

Super quiet top pick

I did a lot of shopping. Mainly I wanted a quiet generator. I also wanted more than 4,000 starting watts and a 30 amp plug for the RV so I can run the AC without any problems. I got all that plus a lot more. The noise level is rated 51. I compared this to the Honda and I can't tell the difference. When I put it in eco mode it still runs the AC great and is even quieter. A couple bonuses are that it is duel fuel so I can run it off the propane. The only downside is that it is larger than a 2000 watt unit for sure but it is not too large to be a big deal. One more thing I love about this is the Key fab so you can start it remotely. It has remote, plus push button and manual if all else fails. This is my top pick and I shopped around a lot. The price point also beats everyone else. Definitely get this one for your RV trips.

Quiet, powerful, clean

I bought this to take camping after renting generators for way too much $$ from the trailer folks that we have been renting trailers from. After doing lots of research on generator types, the difference between inverters and regular generators etc., I decided to purchase this bad boy. It's AWESOME. Our camping companions were jealous of how easily it starts, how much juice it puts out ON DEMAND, and how quiet it is. I ran it on Eco Mode the whole time and never once smelled any exhaust. All the while it clicked on with the push of a button whenever we wanted the AC, microwave, TV, or air compressor.

This is everything my research told me it would be. The iGen is quiet even under a full load, the remote is so nice, and the dual fuel gives me options. I love it. Westinghouse has thought of it all, and provided everything you need out of the box. The only thing missing are proper break in instructions; probably because it requires multiple oil changes in those first hours of use. But when I did those oil changes, I knew I was doing the right thing to keep this great inverter running great for years to come. The iGen4500DF is truly the top level Inverter Generator on the market, and with the price, it is a modern marvel. Thank you Westinghouse!
