Great for camping

Works great for camper. Only used once for camping can run everything on our camper at the same time. It was on the hitch mount carrier and could not hear it inside with TV on low volume. No more setting generator 50ft away from camper to have a conversation. Don't try to start on eco mode, if it doesn't start the first try, check the eco mode switch.

I just got it and haven't used it yet ... So even though I'm giving a 5 star because other reviews for what I need when I run the things with the unit to able to talk to people with out talking loud.i will give another when I start using..

I looked at many generators and settled on this one. I love the electric start, and how quiet it is while running. This is replacing an older open frame generator and the sound difference is amazing.

Just received the generator yesterday and today added oil, connected battery and added a small amount of fuel. I pulled the engine through about ten times with the recoil start with the unit switched OFF to make sure some oil was distributed. Then I switched it on, pushed the start button and it IMMEDIATELY cranked up and very quickly settled into a smooth idle. Apparently no auto choke connection issues as some reviews have noted. I let the unit run no load for about 90 minutes as a "break in" until out of fuel even though not indicated in the manual.
I then removed the engine access panel to drain any remaining fuel from the float bowl. The float bowl drain screw is very small and in a very difficult position. You need a long shaft screwdriver with a small flat tip to undo the screw and tighten it and the screw seems made of rather soft metal. It's a real pain to get to and I doubt it will last. That's a problem for me as I usually drain a float bowl after every use if I'm going to leave an engine unused for any length of time. I use Sta-Bil in all gasoline for small engines but it's still possible for fuel to go bad if something sits a long time. I will have to run this unit more often, at least monthly even though I only need it for hurricane season.
Also the access panels for the oil fill and the battery are just too small: period. I have small hand for my size but very long fingers and it was still difficult to perform then necessary tasks to set up the generator for first use. Westinghouse: make those opening an in larger in each dimension.

I am very happy with my purchase. After extensive research I found the iGen4500DF was one of the few inverters that had all the features I wanted. After purchasing and using I can say I am 100 percent pleased.

Plenty of power. Starts right up and runs like a charm. It is the best generator I've come across. Beats the heck out of a Honda. They didn't send me the remote control which I would like to have. It's supposed to come with it.
