Love Remote Start & Running On Propane

I bought the IGEN4500DF for RV boondocking and home backup power. Love the remote start when in the RV and I can connect it to my remote propane port at the rear of my trailer. It's very quiet near idle and fairly quiet even when running at full bore. This is only only generator I could find with propane, auto-choke and remote start. Very happy with the purchase!

quit but not a dual fuel yet

Installed the unit and get reasonable performance on gas the on propane the unit does not run well and has poor output regulation. Further the starter battery will not hold a charge or the standby battery light does pulls to much power to be in standby for more than a couple hours. There is no reason to have remote start if you have to walk over to the unit to manage the batter switch. Started work with customer service on these issues after 10 minutes on hold I was told they would call me back. We will see......
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great features

I just received my generator and am very impressed so far. Generator was packed well with Styrofoam surrounding it and was in great condition right out of the box. I bought this generator to power my RV and wanted a quiet running dual fuel generator which this is. It has a remote start and all the features I was looking for. It is a great looking unit and I should get good use out of it.

Very Quiet

Came quicker than expected. Instructions could have been a little more clear about connecting the battery. the oil that came with it over filled the unit... but other than that simple to get going. so far it works grate and starts on the first try every time. I plugged in a grinder and it doesn't even bump up the idle when running, I'm pleased. I had a Champion 3100 before .. This is much quieter, I'm very pleased with my purchase.. my only complaint is there is no 12 volt plug or way to direct charge a battery. If it had it I would give it 5 Stars
