It's the Westinghouse oven 5000DF. Easy set up , book repeated a lot but had a quick set up list for set up after reading the manual.Only used once but ran my 30amp camper , using the furnace, microwave, tv, lights and dehumidifier. Ran strong, durable. So far a good value for the money. The oil access is hard to see when trying to fill it because it's so low to the ground, took a while. Strong generator. Very easy to move with the telescoping handle and wheels. Easy to use with propane.

Took it out of the box, setup was easy. Started right up on propane. Has every feature and then some. Love the fact it has the telescoping handle for easy transport. This is my 2nd Westinghouse generator, I had the igen2500 which was great, but upgrade to a larger camper so I was in need of a bigger inverter generator... Bonus that its dual fuel.

None like it on the market

A dual fuel inverter generator with a remote! This is the ONLY unit I have found that delivers all of those features in one generator. I am THRILLED this finally came into the market. I preordered it in October and waited almost 3 months for its official debut. Worth the wait.
I am a mobile groomer who uses a generator every day and NEED all of these features. Its quiet, convenient and reliable.

The Gen took a while to get because of back order but well worth the wait. From the time I brought the box into the garage till the time it was running was less than 30 minutes, I mean my sisters girls could have set this thing up. Add oil and connect the battery, wow. I ran it unloaded for 30 min, shut it down to check oil. The next day I ran my travel trailer with 13500 btu a/c, lights and microwave for 4 hrs. It ran everything perfectly and its not that loud at all. While running the camper I hooked up a LP tank and swapped to LP gas under load, didn't miss a beat. After I was done testing I changed the oil (easy) and now its ready for the next trip.

Purchased this generator last week. For the price you get a lot of generator.
I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews. Some people had mentioned the generator had damage after they had purchased it. I removed all the panels and found no damage to the generator. Additionally some people had complained about the automatic choke. I had no issues with this either. The only minor issue that I found with the generator was it some of the screws holding the service panels on appeared to be slightly scuffed up. As though somebody had a difficult time trying to get them tightened. Otherwise the generator was in perfect condition.
Power: 4500 peak watts and 3700 running watts on gas. 4050/3330 on propane.
Generator is quieter than I expected. It is about as loud as my Honda 2200eu generator.
Large fuel tank, 3.4 gallons means long run times between fill ups, roughly 18 hours.
Has two 120v/20amp, one 120v/30amp, and two USB outlets.
Data center tells you fuel remaining, power output, remaining run time on current fuel, voltage, and lifetime run hours.
Generator can be started either push button on the console, pull start, or FOB.
Generator also comes with remote start FOB, tool kit, battery charger, and engine oil.
After adding the oil I connected the generator to a propane tank and pressed the start button on the FOB. It cranked twice and and fired right up. I ran it for about 30 min under 15% load without any problems.
Very happy with my purchase.

Everything I needed in a generator!

I bought this for an off-grid cabin in order to charge my solar system when it is down in the winter....the first thing I did after a very prompt delivery was to put in the supplied oil and test the unit...it fired right up on propane....(I have not tested it on gasoline yet)....the battery was fully charged and the remote works good....the second thing I did was to change out the oil for a lower viscosity because I will be running this mainly in the winter at 0 degree weather....the only complaint, or I should say improvement I would like to see, is when I shut off the unit with the remote at say 9pm and then wish to restart it at 7am, the battery is dead because the little indicator light for the "battery on" switch kills the battery.....maybe if it was a led or intermitant light it would last all night....oh well, I will just have to go out in the snow and push the button....otherwise, a very quiet unit even compared to my old honda pull start.

Response from westinghouse.comBy WestinghouseFebruary 18, 2019
Hi Michael, thank you for taking the time to leave a review!

We appreciate all the feedback we get. Regarding your battery, if your generator has been exposed to colder temperatures in the morning then it will accelerate the amount of power drained which then leads to a dead battery. If you wish to continue using your remote feature at night, you can resolve this issue by charging your battery for up to 6-8 hours (no longer) while the unit is off during the day then use the remote start as normal at night after your session.

However, we are so glad to hear the iGen4500DF has been everything you've been looking for in a generator! Enjoy it while you're out in the cabins!
