Delivery was on time in item looks very nice Start up great And Love the dual fuel option Reason I didn't give it 5 stars because I have Not Ran on a load yet And did not show you how to drain the cooperator from gas Using a hose That is attached to The bottom of the cooperatorCall customer service and they did not know either

I bought the IGen 4500df primarily for upland bird hunting boondocking in State Forest. It is still in the break in period but has impressed me so far. I am wanting the option of the dual fuel and the 4500 status. Looking forward to years of good service.

IGEN4500DF

I bought this generator for emergency purposes and in the event of a power outage. I research generators for some time and concluded that the iGEB4500DF is the best to get for the money. Out of the box, everything looked fine, I followed the instructions to set up the generator. According to step 3 on Initial Oil Fill, it states, “Using the supplied funnel and oil, pour the entire bottle of oil into the engine.” Well following that instruction, I had oil leaking out of the oil fill hole. Meaning there was a lot of residual oil left in the engine. Your manual for the iGEN4500 reference residual oil, but your iGEN4500DF manual does not state anything about residual oil. The amount of oil leaked out and the amount I had to drain from the engine is much more than residual. Please make sure your iGEN4500DF manual warns users of the possibility of residual oil in the engine and to pour the oil incrementally and check the oil level between each pause.
The generator operates well, it starts on the first try using all three starting options on gas or propane.
It is very quiet without a load applied.
With load applied you can hear the increase in noise level, but overall, it is still extremely quiet for a generator of that size and output. Yes, I would recommend the iGEN4500DF.

Simple setup - great operation

Have only fired this up and tested it. I am impressed with how simple it was to un box and hook up. The ease of starting with both pull start and electric start is awesome. I tested with a recip. saw, and it worked amazing. Cut through a 1/2" bar as a test and the generator never changed rpm. It is a little heavy but with the wheels that is not a problem. Tested it on propane, the only complaint is the fitting came out of the generator when I disconnected. There should be some sort of retention method used to keep the fitting from coming out with the hose.
Other than this, zero complaints.
