Great Product, Well designed iGen

I bought this iGen 4500DF a month ago. Unit is compact and heavy duty. User Manual was very well written with pictorial views of the Generator and Safety features are in abundance. Generator is pricey but it is worth all the features, i.e. electric-start, dual-fuel, LED Data Center, overload LED, etc..
I highly recommend this product !!

Amazing generator!

Bought this inverter generator as I needed two 20 amp circuits to run my luxury restroom trailer, and it works perfectly! Plenty of power, large fuel tank, and very quiet running.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Small, quiet, easy to use

Just bought this so have no long term usage history. I bought it because of how highly rated Westinghouse generators are on some of the more reliable rating sites. It is small, relatively light, and quiet when running. I have have had a terrible time maintaining gas powered open-frame generators since I only use them as back-ups to the house power. I bought this specifically because of the option of using propane, which I intend as the ONLY fuel I will use in it. I also like the option of running two generators in parallel which (with a second generator) offers me the capability of a "whole house" system, since I have a small house.
My only carp is the operators manual does not cover everything you need to know and some items are contradictory. That is understandable in that I am sure Westinghouse is constantly improving their products and consumers cannot afford for them to constantly reprint the manuals.
Specifically, in stopping, the manual says to "turn the battery switch to the off position" whilst the Quick Start Guide says to "Put the engine run/stop switch in the RUN position and pull choke". (Yes I read all the little pieces of paper that came with the generator). Obviously the Quick Start Guide is talking about an open frame generator since there is no readily accessible choke on my model.
One piece of paper says the the parallel cable are included, another says they are not. (They are not)
A battery charger is included with NO instructions on when, where, or how to use it, and the manual states that the battery charges whenever the generator is running.

I do have concerns with the long-term durability since it is covered in plastic and two of the doors popped off while I was unpacking it, but everything went back together properly.
All in all, so far, I am very pleased with the generator. The next power outage will be the true test. Hurricane season is coming.

Runs Great Everything Works

Tested for 2 hours under various loads and everything works great. The dual fuel mode works great and it comes with the supplies needed. Eco mode is really nice although you cannot tell a difference once you hit about a 50% load. When Eco mode is ramping down there will be about 5 seconds of erratic running before the throttle settles down. Most things seem easily accessible for service although the fuel filter looks difficult to reach without removing more than the standard service panel. The provided oil funnel is nice because it screws into the filler hole. Rating 4 stars because it does take more than a few pulls to start. Took me about 5 pulls and that was after already warmed up from running 1hr before. Maybe it will start easier after complete break-in. I plan to replace the spark plug with NGK to see if that helps. Ready for a real test as we approach hurricane season!
