Just got it out of the box. Everything looks great and all accessories are here. This will be a great addition to my camping gear. With covid-19 I have been doing more dry camping and expect to do more before electricity is turned in may.

Easy set up and quick start and quiet

I have an older different brand generator that is so loud that you cannot talk to anyone when it is running. The IGen4500 is so quiet that I can stand next to it and hear my wife telling me what to do. The was a great buy.

Bad Oil Fill Instructions

Out of the box brand new, the user manual says to empty the entire bottle of oil (provided) into the engine (pg 15, 3). Given the location of the oil spout, it is impossible to monitor the fill level. About 3/4 cup oil over-filled and spilled into the floor of the casing, and subsequently onto the garage floor. There is no easy way to clean up inside the casing. Twelve hours later, and lots of paper towels, oil is still dripping into the garage floor.

I cant leave a full review. Just received the delivery yesterday and its 25 degrees outside so I haven't cranked it up yet. So far its everything I had hoped. Been waiting for availability for 5 months. All parts are there, clear instructions, and looking forward to testing and breaking it in.

Initial purchase review

Delivery by FedEx was a little nerve-racking. The box was "rolled" from the street to the outside of my fence. My dog heard the last drop of the roll which was upside down. It was delivered a day and a half early with no notice, a good thing we didn't take off for the weekend. Unpacked generator connected battery, added 3/4 of supplied oil (that was the full level) Started the gen on propane with the remote, ran for a couple of hours, changed the oil to full synthetic. The noise level is nice, in all settings. Seamless and easy. We used a pick-up truck receiver hoist to lift gen to the top of my roll-away toolbox to change the oil. For the next oil change, I will install an elbow and rubber tube down to the hole in the bottom panel. The current design of the drain creates a mess on the bottom panel. Other than the oil drain design it is a 5-star generator we will use for powering the RV.
