Perfect

Purchased 1 month ago for my horse trailer with living quarters. It is perfect for what I want. I started immediately with the wonderful remote on propane fuel, it powers the air conditioner, convection microwave, and everything else that I have even though I do not yet have the high altitude regulator for the propane. I am female, and I have never owned a generator before, I was worried that it would be complicated and difficult, but it could NOT be easier to use. So far, I could not be more impressed and happy with this purchase.

I just opened the box with the new 4500DF Westinghouse generator. I had done my homework. This was the generator I hoped to purchase to use primarily with a travel trailer. First put in the oil. Then hooked up the battery. Then added some ethanol free fuel. Turned on the gas selector, and then the “run” switch and it started right up. Runs quiet and I am thankful to be able to use this very nice powerful unit. I would highly recommend it.

Everything I was look for

I bought this unit to run my RV at my off grid camp. My first genset was a 3500 predator. which was under powered at times. I needed more power to run my A/C and other appliances in the summer. I also wanted the L.P. connection, and remote start. the igen 4500 dual fuel fit the bill. also very happy you can buy this unit with out the co monitor, as I keep the genset in an enclosure.
plus the handle is very handy. My camp is all grass and this rolls easy on the grass to the enclosure

Duel Fuel powerful

I ordered this in august. My intention was to power my grand design imagine 2600RB.(travel trailer) days before our Labor Day camping trip we lost power at our home. I fired up the igen4500DF and was able to easily run my refrigerator, saving all our food. Since, I’ve had my camper connected and with the A/C unit running, the refrigerator and lights it’s only drawing 50% of the units capability. I love that it runs on propane. I’m 50 in ok shape and can lift the unit into the back of my truck. I couldn’t be happier, great engineering Westinghouse !

Review of
Westinghouse 3,700/4,500-Watt Dual-Fuel Inverter Generator (CARB Compliant)
Given the number of generator/inverters options in the marketplace, what factors were important in my selecting the Westinghouse 3,700/4,500-Watt Dual-Fuel Inverter Generator?
Obviously, capacity had to be in the sweet spot for my intended use. 3700 running watts, 4500 starting watts will handle the critical appliances for the event I have a power failure at my home. And with the apparent increasing risk of power grid failure, this may be a small investment for a measure of security.
I wanted and got a control panel that is quite inclusive, not just a place for a wide range of receptacles. I wanted a LED data screen showing the essential factors: fuel level, remaining run time and power output.
It may seem minor, but very few generator options have a remote start key fob. That was a deal breaker for a guy who makes full use of the tv remote. It’s just a great convenience to add to the electric start on the generator.
I doubt I will use the propane option but if gas stations are closed in an electrical failure it is nice to know I can remove the LP tank from my bbq to power on.
Another important consideration is the eco mode which automatically adjusts engine RPM/fuel consumption to what is necessary to provide no more than the load requires.
I wanted and got safeguards like a low oil indicator and an overload protector.
But as I read through the User’s Manual, more and more features were revealed.
The User Manual itself is worthy of accolades. I rarely receive a user’s manual so well written, clear, comprehensive. Additionally, perhaps for the less patient, Westinghouse provides a one page Quick Start Guide. But reading the whole Manual is a worthwhile experience. What other small engine company includes a drain hose on its float bowl to completely remove gasoline?
Not only does the generator charge the battery while the engine is running, should you have a more sustained period of non use, Westinghouse provides a small plug-in battery charging cable. Not intended as a trickle charger, rather the company suggests plugging it in over night, sufficient to charge the battery without overcharging it.
Westinghouse provides a small bag of essential tools like a spark plug wrench. They include a funnel for adding oil. The gasoline tank includes a filter.
It just goes on. As time passes, I think I’m going to be very glad I purchased the Westinghouse Inverter Generator.

Just what I needed

Opened box and lifted out with a small grunt (mind you, I'm 69), then discovered a film of oil covering most of the outside (not sure what that's all about), battery cover was dislodged and battery was hanging halfway out of its location (again ?), no damage and battery fully charged. Wiped off all the oil and then started reading literature that came with. filled oil, connected battery and LP tank, started up with no issues and ran like a purring kitten, plugged in Air Compressor, no challenge for this unit, connected to RV and ran Micro wave and A/C and handled both very well. This Generator is easy to maneuver although it does weigh a bit, but still is manageable, a perfect match for our 5th wheel with the remote start and decibels are very reasonable for this size of Generator. A nice designed Westinghouse.
