At least it runs

I ordered the iGen4500DF in early June and it finally arrived in late October. I added oil and hooked up the battery and ran the generator on propane. The generator ran fine and started with both the start button on the control panel and the remote. I removed the access panel to look at the air cleaner and noticed that one of the plastic tabs used to hold the panel in place had broken and was still in place in the rubber grommet which retains the tab when the panel is closed. I have added a couple photos of the broken tab. I am disappointed that this broke the very first time I removed the access panel, I hope the rest of the generator holds up much better than the panel did! Time will tell whether the generator turns out to be a good reliable piece of equipment.

Great bells and whistles

I bought this because of all the extra features you don’t see on other models of this size and power. Love the fuel level, time remaining and load level that is all found at a quick glance. Packaging was well done as the delivery service was not so gentle with it. Wheels make it easy to move around once you wrangle it from the box with some help.

Great generator easy to move, dual fuel is key

Really excited about this as we had a recent bad storm where gas was in short supply nice to have a second alternative that is quieter anyway. Also useful for tailgating or if I ever get into RV more. The only downside would say is that I was expecting that it was a bit quieter like a Honda 2200 that I’ve used in the past. At least that’s what the reviews and dB ready to adjusted. It still is quite quiet compared to an open non-inverter generator. I used it with the propane, that would likely be the quietest setting. I do like that has the conservation mode for lower draw and longer use with fuel.

Rare combination of output, dual fuel, & remote

No other gen has the combination of power output, dual fuel, and remote start. Slide out handle makes it easy to move. LED on the power switch was a bad idea if you plan on leaving it connected over night to turn on with the remote. Wish it also had the potential for natural gas

I like dual fuel model because I can use both gas or propane for fuel. It is convenient and quiet. I especially like the remote control feature that I can operate the generator from inside of my home to start or stop it.

Generator of my dreams

I’ve literally dreamt about this generator before ordering it when camping. It is so nice to hook it up and not have to leave the trailer to go out into the cold and wet Oregon mornings and night to start it. Packed with features and the remote start and dual fuel are the selling points I’m stoked on. Plenty of power. I also love the wheels and handles I didn’t know it had until I unboxed it.
