Best One Out There

After Hurricane Sally, I decided I needed a larger generator, and the dual-fuel feature on the IGen4500DF was especially attractive. The propane option, even though not quite as powerful as the gas, to me is much more convenient, easier to store, and safer. Easier to have 5 propane tanks around than 5 extremely flammable plastic gas containers. Starts and runs without a hitch, easy to understand controls, everything in the right place, powerful, quiet. What is there not to like??

love the quick start

two of us bought this unit after seeing several of our neighbors using it. have had a couple issues getting propane started but gasoline works great.Love the quick start and am setting it up in a secure place.
I needed 2200 watts and my little honda wasn't handling the load. now am feeling real good about the whole house using the power. wish it was a little quieter but can live with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My generator was manufactured in July 2020 so was not affected by current recall. No damage noticed upon unpacking, no rust in gas tank. Have started and run on propane only which went flawlessly so can only hope that I don't suffer auto choke issues.
I would recommend this to a friend!

First 5 Hours... All good

So far so good! I had spent a lot of time researching this purchase. I knew about some of the service bulletins and expected some initial hiccups but as it turns out, I've been able to run the first 5 hours of burn in with no start/run issues.
I have run into one more complicated finding that I will be reaching out about, that is the lack of detectable ground by a tester after properly grounding via 8ft copper rod. I understand that there is some complication with floating neutral wiring as in this and many other generators, however the manual leaves the research up to you.
One additional thing to be aware of, the fuel meter only registers with gas not propane, completely understandable I just had my hopes up there!
