I bought this a week ago and have had it up and running. Power out is instantaneous. My reason for this one is so I can be in a campsite with others and put it on propane and have a quieter running engine. We also are very happy to have it to add to our 72 hour plus survival kit. It won't run our whole home but will provide us with immediate essentials.
I just got it yesterday. I put it together, very easy to do. It started right up on gas and propane. I ran it 4 hours on gas it is so smoothe. I also have a wgen7500df. It is two years old and is also great
We bought this after going 5 days without power after Hurricane Sally devastated our area. Hope I don't have to use it anytime soon, but it's reassuring knowing that it is there and furthermore, I can start it by myself. Love the fact I can use propane or gasoline and that it has an electric starter. I'm ready for you Mother Nature!
I am surprised that this unit does not have an oil warning light. The remote is pretty limited for the distance that it can be operated. Otherwise I am very pleased with this unit. I have had at least six other generators over the years to compare it to.
I've only had this for a little longer than a week but it looks to work well. Setup wasn't too difficult. It ran right away and the remote start/stop works well too. On the down side, I didn't do enough research to make sure this model would work for everything in my house. For some things like my well pump, I needed to have a model that runs on 240v, whereas this model only does 120v. So if you were to have an electrician install a 30amp connection to your breaker box they'll tell you that you must turn off any 240v breakers first. I also wasn't thrilled with the fact that shipping wasn't very clean. I got the item quickly, but there were dents and scratches on the corners of the cage bars. Nothing that impacted the function of the generator, but when you spend this kind of money you expect it to look new.
