I just purchased the unit and assembled , per the instructions. I wanted a dual fuel unit, so having already purchased a tank of propane(for my new gas grill), naturally I wanted to see it run on that fuel type. In addition, I also wanted to see if the wireless remote would work as well. The gas tank hook up was simple, and the remote started the unit better than expected. By that I mean; all you have to do is push the button once, the unit will then keep trying until it starts. It took three attempts initially, but after that, it only took one try.I plugged in a small appliance to the standard 120, and it worked. I hope I never have to use it, but I am confident it will work as advertised, should the need ever arise.
This generator seem to of high quality and started on first pull and first time the remote was used. Only down fall I had was that is was delivered in the box with a damaged filter cover. That is why it wasn't give 5 stars.
I got the dual fuel to increase my chances of getting fuel in case of emergency, the generator is super nice w onboard battery charger and push button, pull, or keychain remote start. The tool is well laid out and easy to use. The unit comes w everything you need except fuel and cords, even the battery is included. The generator is reasonably compact and easy to move w a built in handle and wheels. The wheels can be easily removed for a smaller footprint. The generator started easily on its first start.
I purchased this generator based on the features and the Westinghouse brand name.
Last winter our power went out for some unexpectedly long periods of time, so we decided having a small backup generator available to run space heaters and other necessities would be a good idea. Because it might sit for a long time, dual fuel was a must have feature.
After reading lots of reviews we went with the Westinghouse and we couldn’t be happier. Of particular note was that they included the connection line for the propane tank and a bottle of engine oil, so out of the box you have everything you need. Instructions are very clear, and our unit started up on the first try.
