All the features you could ask for in a generator for camping and around the house took it camping and ran all the ac no problem couldn’t ask for anything any better at this time runs quit as any Honda very a pleased. As of now
The generator has some nice little features that make set up and use easy. Starting with the supplied threaded oil fill funnel which makes filling with oil mess free. Set up took about 20 minutes from out of the box to start-up. The extending pull-out handle allows easy moving. The LED panel lights are great for dark locations when starting (they can be switched off). The multi-readout digital panel tells hours of run-time on fuel, fuel level, watts, voltage and total run-time. There is also a fuel level gauge and load gauge. Initial start up took several pulls of the started but once fuel has primed, 1 easy pull started the machine. This generator does NOT have electric start. At the very light load I was running (less than 25%, recommend below 50% load during initial use), the machine is relatively quiet 80db at 10', as I added load (up to 50%) it gets a little louder, 87db at 10'. My intended use is to supply power to a 17' Casita camper hopefully to run the AC for 7 hours. I haven't been able to test that yet but I was convinced by my neighbor that it "should" work if I limit simultaneous load. The "Eco-Mode" button is nice and adjust engine speed to the required load. Light load (25% or less, the gauge shows 10 hrs run time on Eco Mode. 50% load shows 4hrs run time. As tested so far, I would recommend it. May be a little bit louder than some people might want but for power generated at the price point paid, I think it's fine.
So far so good. Fired right up after set up. It's pretty quiet and light too. more than enough to power our 30 amp service for the travel trailer. I do have a soft start install for the a/c so won't get that start up spike.
This generator is replacing a much older Honda generator. It is very well packaged and the instructions are very complete. The wheels and handle make this as easy to move as a medium suitcase. Once set up and charged the key fob start is easy to turn the unit off and on without even going to the unit. I never thought generator use and ownership could be this easy.
the pull handle and push button start was what we really needed in a generator. make sure you read the yellow tag on the generator that states to connected the battery :) . we missed that step and it set us back a couple of minutes but we eventually got it going. the remote works well, an added addition to the generator. we went to the 3rd floor of our townhome and stopped and started it without any issues. overall a good buy for our first generator. not too heavy but that's what the pull handle is for and the db noice isn't too too loud but its a generator, noise is expected
