Recently we received our iGEN4000DFcv generator after attending a dry camping event where we noticed a lot of quiet running generators. Since our open frame style was making a racket we decided to go the quiet route. This generator is light at 60lbs and outputs more than we need to run our 13.5btu ac and 1100w microwave at the same time. Easy to start on both propane and gas. Great procuct!
The remote start, led lighting and display are great features. Unit is just light enough for one person carry and will power RV air conditioner and has an RV 30A receptacle. Noise level is lower than expected. Only concern so far is that the manual does not perfectly match the unit itself; carburetor float bowl draining shown in manual is not my carburetor. Not sure how to drain bowl. Also there is a reference to choking the unit but I see no way to manually choke the unit (although it starts quickly). Limited use so far, but looks like it will be a great unit.
I bought this after we got badly smacked by Hurricane Helene, following extensive research. I felt it was the best generator for the money, with the main things besides build quality and ratings being: enough power to run 2 fridges plus mobile phones, laptops, lamps and a coffee maker etc.; smooth power (inverter, so DC) for electronics; Eco mode for low gas consumption; crazy-quiet (just 52 dB), lightweight (59 lb); duel fuel capability (gas and propane), and all needed tools and accessories included. The manual was clear and detailed and after adding oil and gas I followed the instructions to run it and break it in, and it started right up after just a few yanks of the pull chord to prime the carburetor. It ran smoothly and quietly for hours on about 1/2 gallon of gas and when I turned on Eco mode it automatically adjusted to the different loads I plugged in (fridge, batter charger for lawnmower, radio, etc..
This compact generator really delivers. It travels well with the wheels and pull handles. Love the dual fuel feature. Came in handy during hurricane season.
My new iGen4000 works just as smooth and quiet as my iGen4500. Best part is it's half the weight and easier to pack and store. Now I have 2 that I parallel together for full 50amp service to my RV.
