We had a power outage that lasted about 24 hours after a storm. It work just as expected. We was able to keep the Refrigerator and Freezer going. Exactly what we wanted it for. Ran great. Pretty quiet.
I just bought this about a week ago and haven’t really put it through its paces but I am pleased with how easy it was to start. It is a tad louder than I was expecting, but that is not an issue as I tend to boon dock / disperse camp so there is no one to disturb. I like having multiple fuel options as well as starting. I am looking forward for our first trip with it.
Just purchased to replace a 10,000W generator that is too heavy and loud to be used in our condo association. Bought this generator to charge portable battery power banks. Perfect size.
I bought this generator over two months ago and I can't use it because it runs for a few seconds and then dies. I spoke with someone in support, and they said it was likely a bad control panel and that they would send me a new one, but I haven't heard anything since then, which was over a month ago. This is ridiculous!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We had been using a 4500 for RVing which we are happy with. The only complaint is the weight of this generator. The purchased 4000C to addresses this issue. (Our Outdoors RV has a 25 amp circuit for running the AC. This unit has ample power, with the 27.9? amps it puts out.) The center handle makes is easy to manipulate the generator in and out of a F250 Tremor. I also really like the added feature of a water proof storage area for the key fob when the generator is in storage. By following the Quick Start Up Guide, and the tag that stated that the battery cables were disconnected, this generator started right up. After 5 minutes warm up, it ran flawlessly for 3 hours under 50 percent load for it's initial test run.
The reason for 4 Stars instead of 5 is based on the supplied literature and setting up the unit in subfreezing temperatures. Why is the battery being disconnected not on the Quick Start Up Guide? With the majority of our camping off grid and boon docking, having spare maintenance parts is a must. Having a parts list number for a spare spark plug, fuel filter and air filter listed in the maintenance schedule would make this endeavor easier. The website didn't accept a 4000C. A single part number for ordering all of the above would seem to be a no-brainer.
