This was an excellent buy! I originally had trouble choosing between this generator and a similar predator model. I definitely made the right decision, the construction of this model combined with its quiet operation and fuel efficiency makes me very happy!
After purchasing and completely reading the owner's manual it was easy to perform initial startup. An enhancement would be helpful to describe to show the location of the battery in the product illustration. The manual also references manually operating the choke with cold recoil startup. I have no idea where a a manual choke is located. It is not identified on any illustration and I did not observe one upon inspection of the product..
Purchased this iGen4000 DFc as a replacement for a 30 year old conventional Coleman generator. Main usage will be as a hurricane backup for power loss. Was impressed by the size of the unit and ease of setup. Filled oil and gas. Two pulls on the coil and it started right up. Ran super smooth with varying loads for the 5-hour break in period. Haven't used it in a real situation yet, but will update my review as I see fit after that. Very happy with the purchase so far.
I was truly delighted with this product! It arrived on time and in impeccable condition. The way it looked was simply stunning, and upon starting it up, it roared to life effortlessly. I couldn’t be more impressed with the overall experience!
Bought for my RV use as I mainly dry camp. I had a Firman inverter, same size but it was much more noisy. We go to college football games & RV's are in very close proximity - so not only was it tough to carry on a conversation with generator running but I know it was annoying for neighbors. The Westinghouse is much quieter and lifting it up into my truck is much easier - around 35 pounds lighter than the Firman. Enjoy having the remote start so can do from inside the RV. The only slight downside to this model is a slightly smaller tank but worth the tradeoff for the light weight. The battery and oil is very accessible so maintenance should be a breeze.
