Just purchased for emergency use, camping and remote work for power tools. Loaded with features, powerful and light weight. I love the dual fuel capability. It's well designed and easy to maneuver with the extendable handle and built in wheels. It's also light enough to pick up and carry around or put in the back of the truck by myself.
I bought this with the intention of powering our two chest freezers and two refrigerators during power outages. At first, I was put off by the idea that you should tip the machine on its side to drain the engine oil, but in practice, it works great. Super easy to change. I bought a magnetic dipstick to collect metal debris and I think that's a good idea for longevity. This is my first experience with a propane powered small engine. The exhaust doesn't smell nearly as bad as with gasoline, and long term storage of propane is not a problem with degradation like it is with gasoline. Believe it or not, with my four refrigeration appliances connected, I got 30 hours of runtime on a 20 lb BBQ tank of propane. The generator is not quiet as I expected, but it is pretty mellow compared to other big noisy beasts. Overall, a very pleasant experience with the iGen4000Dfc.
This is a fresh, out of the box, haven’t even started it up yet, review! This generator ticked all of the boxes. Remote start, electric start, small, light weight, quiet db rating, dual fuel, wheels & handle portability, tools inclusive, and ready to fuel and go! Love what I see so far! Can’t wait to use it for the first time.
