Lot of power in a small package

We bougth this in June to use while camping . I was amazed at the amount of power this could put out and the quietness of this machine. I was very concerened about the noise level of a regular generator but this was perfect for us. Enough power for our camper with out the distraction of loud noise.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good use of technology

No problems, works great.Took a bit to realize that the battery leads needed to be attached. To do this, remove side panel to access battery.

Excellent generator for camping

It’s first use was to recharge batteries on my camper, and to provide a source of 30amp service. It work flawlessly and was very efficient and quieter than expected. The ranger had no problem with it running all evening if it was needed. I ran it both on propane and regular gas with no issues. I would highly recommend this for anyone needing a 30 amp power source.

I wanted to love this generator so bad

Against my better judgment I bought this igen4000DFc after selling my smaller igen2500 that always seemed a bit too loud compared to other similar output generators. Well I got this one set up and fired up and within about 3 seconds I realized I had made a mistake as this thing is pretty loud as well even at idle in eco mode. On paper this generator has it all, but I just could not get over the noise. Noise aside my brand new unit would not switch out of eco mode due to a defective switch. I contacted Westinghouse and they told me that the eco mode switch was out of stock and that I should just return the unit! Well that sealed the deal on this and I returned it.
I ended up picking up a Generac GP3300i and I am super happy with it. On paper everything is worse: it cost more, no electric start, no dual fuel, no LCD panel, but the thing is sooo much quieter you can have it running 15 feet away under load and hardly notice. If you are not adverse to the noise I think this could be a really good unit minor quality issues aside, but Westinghouse really needs to get the sound levels of their generators down in my opinion.
