Top of the line Generator!

Powerful, efficient, and quiet! After extensive research, I found the W12000DF Generator is the most efficient on fuel in the class of its size... AND it's the best bang for your buck. Along with a great warranty, what's to hesitate? It provides more runtime on a tank of gas than other comparable unit I looked at. We also heat our home with propane, so this spring, I'm planning on running a line to the rear patio so there will plenty of fuel for any extended outage situation.
There are plenty of outlets. The weatherproof outlet covers are a great feature, snap in place. We live in a rural area and the electric goes out every season. This past winter it was out for 5 days...frustrating as it is, but finally we can run our entire home on this plant alone...we have 2 separate electric entrances, and it runs both. Before, on our little generator, we could only run on 110; a few lights and no appliances; now we can run everything, including the electric range, water heater, well pumps and even my small welder (if I need it).
For a portable unit, this Gen packs a great punch. It's heavy, but once in place, it'll just do its thing. I love the push button start and the remote start FOB...super easy; no more pulling recoil cords!...especially in freezing weather! If you use the remote start, the switch on the Gen will have to be "on", which means it will put a continual drain on the battery but just remember to turn it off when in storage. Comes with its own charger, simple to use. Battery is a little difficult to attach but it's kept out of the way and once it's connected, forget about it. The charger port is on the front of the panel so it's not a problem to charge it.
I would suggest purchasing a transfer switch to compliment your unit. I got a 50 amp outside connector box with a twist-lock cord and hardwired the box directly into our circuit panels. Works great!

Great Generator

Bought this 3 months ago and finally got the house wired to use it. Fired it up without any issues. Powers on either propane or gas my whole house, approx. 3000 sq ft, including central AC and 2 refrigerators.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I just purchased this generator and I’m impressed with it’s features. The generator arrived in perfect condition and was easy to set up. I had it up and running on a LP tank in about 15 minutes. I’m enjoying the piece of mind knowing that it’ll be ready for the next power outage.

Had this delivered and it worked great, but developed a small noise in the starter. Emailed Customer Service and they were extremely prompt addressing this issue, and sent me out a new starter no-charge. Now there's no starter noise, and the generator runs like a freight train!

Will not start using gas

Just arrived..unpacked and completed the installation. Including adding the oil connecting the battery and adding fresh gas. The generator will not start on gas mode. it will start using propane. i am bumbed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use

I bought this a month ago and have only tried it out once. It started on the second try and I only had to push the button once. It's not the quietest generator but it is not too loud. It's very easy to use and set up. I hope I won't need it next winter but I should be set when I do.

Minor assembly went easily, added oil, connected the propane line, and started after about 2 seconds of cranking. Ran smooth, and quieter than expected.
Was afraid for the worse when it arrived, as the packaging was destroyed by the shipper, but amazingly all the parts were there, and the wrap around frame protected the generator well. It arrived on end instead of on its base, but other than a couple minor scratches, it was undamaged. Great design, and well built!
Really like the push button start, as well as the multi-function status meter on the front panel.
It’s intended usage will be a back-up for the inevitable hurricanes here in Florida, so the bonus remote start key fob will allow me to cycle it as needed to conserve fuel, without having to trudge out in the weather to strop and start it.

Have a 100lb tank of propane all ready to go, and know from experience that abstaining from gasoline will prolong engine life, not to mention never having to worry about propane going ‘bad’ if not used! Startup & Run didn't go well

I purchased March 18 2022, received March 31 2022, stored in garage until June 10 2022 for initial startup & run...followed all startup procedures. Then ran under moderate load for about 5-10 mins then it shut down. Ran again in an hour or so w/o any load and it shut down within 5-10 mins. I then called customer service.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
