I bought this expecting a very good quality generator. I have had trouble with it shutting down frequently and have had to borrow a friend's generator for our business. We thought it might be the CO sensor and found some youtube posts that suggested trying to bypass this since it was a common issue. We had a local mechanic take a look and still no luck. If the warranty process goes smoothly and we can keep this generator running I will update the review.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome product

Can’t put a price on comfort and security knowing that we can restore power in a storm. The product starts right up and handles the load of my home. We are running A/C, septic and well pumps along with standard 110 outlets. We just turn off or turn up A/C to run the range or dryer.

We decided to upgrade our Westinghouse 12000/9500DF generator to a larger generator.
The 9500DF ran our house on 50 Amps with a 5 Ton AC, and all the appliances but weren't sure if it would run the well and garage at the same time. We have a small 7500DF, not Westinghouse, generator that we used for that as it only requires 30 Amps.
We probably could have gotten by but it would have been marginal and didn't want to chance tripping the breaker on the generator.
I started researching larger generators from numerous manufacturers and having no issues with the Westinghouse 9500DF, the choice was clear, Westinghouse again. But which one 🤔.
We settled on the 18000/14500DF generator. Not to big that we would need to hire a moving company to move it around, but larger than our existing one.
I have no doubts that the 18000/14500DF is going to exceed our expectations and provide us all the power we're going to need when the utility service power goes down.
Living in the desert of Arizona you have to be prepared to be without power sometimes as long as 3 days, and having a portable whole house generator is one critical element of being prepared.
