Perfect Generator

Easy assembly and easy to wheel around. The generator starts right up with electric start feature. Doesn’t seem to unbearably noisy.

Electric Start

I bought this about a Month ago to replace my 20 year old Coleman Generator, which still works but is but has become difficult to start. After putting the wheels on, hooking up the battery, filling with supplied engine oil and putting in some gasoline.
I turned the fuel on and set the choke. I pushed the start button and it started instantly. I used the cord from my old generator plugged in to the 120 V gfci outlets. The cord has two standard 120 V male plugs which are wired togrther into one clothes dryer male plug. As soon as I plugged it in to the new generator the gfci outlets tripped immediately, and I had no power. At first I thought the outlets on the new generator were not working correctly. Then i realized my cord with the dryer plug does not have a ground wire. Of course the gfci outlets would trip, thts what they are supposed to do. I ordered a new generator power inlet box with the twist lok type plug and a new cord with twist lok plus as well. Now I have hooked this up and the generator works great. It is fairly loud but not as loud as my previous machine. I only gave it 4 stars because when the oil was drained for shipping it was not properly cleaned up before packaging and the oil was soaked through the carton in several places. Not a major problem just a mess to be cleaned up.

WGen 6000 seems like an awesome addition to my Florida House. Well prepares me for hurricane season. Just need to get it wired into my panel. Comes with good instructions on bonded vs floating neutral.

Haven't used yet so really know the performance. Its made in China. Had a little rust on frame. Easy to set up. Dont like the plastic wheels. Overall i like the product i cant wait to use it.

Great generator for emergency power.

This generator has plenty of features that my older generator lacks like the electric starter and the 240 volt receptacle and most of all the higher wattage rating.
I would recommend this to a friend!
