Great Generator Value

ordered this generator because the town I live in has more power outages than some third world countries. (Please do not take offense as I have been to many third world countries so I am speaking from experience). Living in Florida one needs to be prepared for outages due to hurricanes and such, but our power goes out whenever there is a thunderstorm. And to top it off, we seem to be on the end of the line when it comes to restoring power so we can go for 4 hours to a day if situations are bad. (not even talking about hurricanes where we can lose power for days/weeks). So I decided to get a generator that will power a fridge, tv (and peripherals such as roku, cable box, etc), lights and a fan to keep cool. This westinghouse 3600v should do the trick. The generator comes completely assembled and all that is needed is to add oil and gas, Fortunately, Westinghouse has added a quart of oil so I did not need to go out and purchase any...thanks Westinghouse! I added the oil, added a gallon of gas and turned the switch to "ON" and turned the gas to allow the gas to flow and pulled the engine cord and !!BAM!!, it started up on the first pull with barely any muscle. My grandmother could have started this generator because it requires hardly any muscle power to start it up. The generator seems well built, sounded good and starts on the first try. The only negative thing I have to say is that the generator does not come with a wheel kit which I think all portable generators should come with. A wheel kit can be purchased but I did not want to spend another $100 (after taxes), so I reckon I will do without. Overall I think this is a well built generator and would definitely recommend it to friends.

Very Quiet for its size

Bought generator for hurricane that missed us, so this review will be off warm up and testing.I am curious if disconnecting the battery is necessary between long periods of no use. One of my biggest and only complaints to this point is the location of the battery positive cable. it is pretty much in the way of the oil dipstick fill location, which makes check/filling the oil a bit of a challenge. No other issues in testing. I really didn't put a huge load on the unit just testing of the outlets and powering something from each one at the same time. Unit has bigger wheels which is a plus as the unit is close to 220 lbs, so its pretty heavy for its size!

It arrived in great shape and easy to assemble instructions. Started right up. Got the generator for hurricane back up so and have not needed it for that.

I bought this for emergency back up power. We haven't had a major storm yet here in the Northeast, but there was an accident that took out a utility pole in my neighborhood. I had already set up a 30 amp plug and transfer switches. The generator handled every thing we wanted it to. One refrigerator, one stand up freezer, all the lights we needed, etc. It was very easy to set up out of the box and fired right up easily with the electric start or the pull start. Very happy so far.

Powerful easy to start

The Generator come on damage and was easy to assemble took about 10 minutes.The design of the Generator is well thought out, added oil and gas started right up runs amazingly quiet quieter than my old Generator.Had no problem handling everything I hooked up to it. I highly recommend this Generator
