Great Generator Value

ordered this generator because the town I live in has more power outages than some third world countries. (Please do not take offense as I have been to many third world countries so I am speaking from experience). Living in Florida one needs to be prepared for outages due to hurricanes and such, but our power goes out whenever there is a thunderstorm. And to top it off, we seem to be on the end of the line when it comes to restoring power so we can go for 4 hours to a day if situations are bad. (not even talking about hurricanes where we can lose power for days/weeks). So I decided to get a generator that will power a fridge, tv (and peripherals such as roku, cable box, etc), lights and a fan to keep cool. This westinghouse 3600v should do the trick. The generator comes completely assembled and all that is needed is to add oil and gas, Fortunately, Westinghouse has added a quart of oil so I did not need to go out and purchase any...thanks Westinghouse! I added the oil, added a gallon of gas and turned the switch to "ON" and turned the gas to allow the gas to flow and pulled the engine cord and !!BAM!!, it started up on the first pull with barely any muscle. My grandmother could have started this generator because it requires hardly any muscle power to start it up. The generator seems well built, sounded good and starts on the first try. The only negative thing I have to say is that the generator does not come with a wheel kit which I think all portable generators should come with. A wheel kit can be purchased but I did not want to spend another $100 (after taxes), so I reckon I will do without. Overall I think this is a well built generator and would definitely recommend it to friends.

They even included engine oil, unique funnel that's a perfect fit.and a spark plug wrench! After setup, 1st. start was very quick and easy. Used right away for a power tool that required almost 20 amps, When plugged in, the generator was strong enough it didn't even bother the engine at all. Very strong. Recommend buying the cover as well to protect it while not in use.

I bought the WGen5500 but had to pick the WGen6000 here. (Don't know why). It started on the second pull and I put a 1500 watt load on it and the engine didn't flinch. I'm going to wire it into the house. Only tried one test load on it and so far so good. I think it's a little early to have to leave a review but like I said so far so good.

Look forward to many years of use. You can tell it is a quality unit as soon as you un-box it. I have not run yet as doing that tonight but have no worries that it will work as designed. Reviews and USA made sold me. I also called company before purchasing with questions and they were great!
