Great Generator used for whole house backup

I bought this generator to use as a whole-house backup. It is not powerful enough to run everything at once but with selective use, it can run what i need until the utility can restore power. Good price and well built.

Easy to use and works well

Bought this a few months ago as a precaution. Had a full freezer and storms were coming. Used it twice. Loud but it a generator. Electric start is great. followed easy instructions and worked like a charm. This is the 2nd westinghouse product I have now and very happy with

We bought this before the winter storm in Ohio in December 2022. Our electric went out as we thought it would and we were very happy and pleased that we made this purchase. It was there for us when we needed it. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone. It will serve us well in the future. Thank you for such a great generator.

I have had this generator for almost 3 years and have used it about 6-8 times. It starts up with just 1 pull of the cord and runs like a top. Plenty of power to fire up my furnace, refrigerator and any lights I want to use. Highly recommend this product!

Initial WGen6000 Review

Just purchased our unit and have set it up and run a few (20-40 minute) test runs. Findings so far are:
- The manual pull start was easier than expected.
- Starting with the electric starter required a little bit of adjustment to the choke but worked well.
- There is noise (as expected) maybe a little more than a lawnmower but placing the unit wisely can help reduce the annoyance of that aspect of any generator.
- During the test runs the generator appeared to consume a little more than 1/2 gallon of gas per hour.
- The Data Center Lifetime Run Hours may or may not be working on the unit. It requires the battery to remain hooked up to retain the information (per the manual) but even with the battery connected it appears to be clearing the information after the overall generator is shut down. The run hours are in the format of 00:00 and so implies that it can track to only 99:xx hours (unclear if it rolls over to 00:00 etc. at that point). This aspect of our generator is still under investigation and, since it appears not to be working, is only the reason for a less than 4-star review. Assuming we find additional information on how to use this feature (or there is a timely replacement if this is a manufacturing defect) this generator could be recommended to others.
