Tremendous value

This was bought in a pinch when we lost power. It’s extremely well built, the fuel gauge is a float. I ran two A/C units and two fridges for about 3 hours. In that time I burned maybe a gallons of high octane gas. The wheels were pretty easy to assemble with the help of another person to tilt the unit. This unit was quieter that two similarly sized unit that I borrowed in the days prior. Not sure if that will last but so far I’m impressed.

This WGen 6000 is solidly made, runs quietly and has very consistent wattage out put. It has run a refrigerator and a chest freezer, computer, television, coffeemaker, microwave and fans with no problem Move easily on large wheels. It was so easy to add the wheels and front "legs" Not much set up to do. I like the Westinghouse brand and that was one reason that I chose this product. The electric start is great!

I researched generators in the 5000W-6000W range, and after quite a while, decided that the WGen6000 would be the best choice for my needs. So far, I am extremely happy with this purchase.

So far so good

Received this generator today, and after setup it started up immediately without any fuss. Assembly was easy, but the manual was not quite right in a few places. For example, the battery connections in the manual were already performed, but there was no mention of the quick disconnect on this model. Also, it discusses adding gas several pages before engine oil, which is out of order.
The duplex outlets work fine, but I'm waiting on the electrician to install my transfer switch to test the 30A output.

way good and a little bad

Good:1. minimal assembly- 2 wheels and 2 rubber feet
2- Big engine with electric start
3- right out of the box starts right up
Bad: because generators sit idle for long periods they need periodic startup and maintenance. to that end, i think a battery tender would be an appropriate addition to this kit. I have one but not everybody does. subtract one star.
I like it.
