I received my Westinghouse 9500Tfc with no problems and setup was super smooth. Put on the wheels and added oil, hooked up to propane tank and fired up on first try. Ran very smoothly and noise was not that bad (it is a big boy).
I ran for an hour with variable loads and my Power Watchdog surge protector showed a very consistent voltage.
Got a 50 amp cord and had an electrician wire a generator inlet with interlock to my home panel. Planning on having a natural gas quick connect installed on my pool heater gas line out back so I can just hook up and let it go. Just waiting for the next storm….

Won't start

I purchased this generator 3 months ago, and luckily I didn't need to use it, however I did turn it on twice just to run it. The first time it started up after a few times and I ran it for several hours. A month later, I tried running it again and it took a longer time to start it. After awhile I was able to run it for several hours. Today, I am trying again and it starts up, then shuts down after a minute or so. After I purchased this generator, I was asked to write a review and I would receive a cover for the generator, however I never received the cover. I also wrote the review based on the first time starting it. My brother is still trying to get it to start.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Frequency is high and does not idle up

Initial fire up of generator, frequency is 62.9. I called support and they requested I put a load on it. With 2 heat elements at maybe 2.5amps, it dropped to 61.7 Hz. I was told this was all good and normal. Fast forward to today, with my first trial run after all electrical was finished to feed my home. I started with my garage which has a 240v pool pump and air compressor. The pool pump and all 120 devices ran just fine. When the air compressor came on, lights began flickering badly and the generator shut off. This was done again when I had someone able to turn the air compressor on while I was at the generator to observe the operations. I observed the frequency was dropping to 55-56 Hz and voltage was also dropping. This is happening due to the idle circuitry of the generator failing is my thought. I called support and was advised to contact my seller to return the unit for being defective. If I’m not able to return it, I can take it somewhere of pay to have someone come to my home. This is very poor support for a brand new product.

Full Featured Generator

I wanted a portable generator that worked with natural gas and this fit the bill. It's got plenty of power, even on natural gas, to handle almost everything I need in my house. The unit was well packaged and it was easy to install the feet and wheels. My only complaint is regarding the remote start key fob. It arrived with a completely dead battery, which I replaced, and then the instructions in the manual to pair the key FOB to the generator were wrong. The manual instructs to press the Engine Start button for 10 seconds to begin the pairing process, but after 2 seconds the engine tries to start. When I went to the website I found the correct instructions (there's a small red button on the side of the panel to initiate the pairing process) and I was able to get it paired. Aside from that, the unit looks good so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just received,in great shape.Installed feet and wheels,added oil & gasoline . Started right up, runs fine. Haven't used yet will use on natural gas .
