I purchased this generator to run my entire home during power outages. I hired an electrician who confirmed this generator would do so. He added an "Interlock clip" to the breaker box and an outside connection for the generator. After switching off the main breaker and connecting the generator, it provided the necessary power for the entire home including the central air conditioner. Added excellent features include the electric start and dual fuel option (gas & propane). I am well satisfied

Better than anticipated

The build quality and accessories are better than anticipated. The generator look to be well built and accessories that are optional on other products are included. I also like the instructions for changing the generator bonding being included in the instructions. This is required if you plan on connecting to your breaker panel directly.

The generator booklet is very easy to use and read. This makes any issues with generator easy to identify and fix. The generator works very well and I am pleased with the product and how it is built.

WGen9500DF 1st unbox and test

Unboxing was not too difficult Westinghouse should provide a line to cut the carton at the bottom at 200+ it would be difficult to lift out of the box. I cut the bottom so it was easy for one to do it. Wheels and legs went on easy but lean in under the weight of the generator, still rolls OK. 1st startup on gas second crank it fired up, it goes into auto start mode and keeps attempting no need to push button again. I did notice that the auto choke does not completely engage and had to be manually closed to start again on 2nd start up. Propane run was successful and took a few cranks to get it running, but ran great. I have only tested a compressor and leaf blower so far to make sure it works. I will be hooking up to a transfer switch and 50 amp drop to power the critical circuits so i will update after I get that chore done. All and all so far seems like a good purchase. I would recommend so far. Directions are straight forward so any DIY could set it up easy.

Amazing generator

The generator arrived in perfect condition and was easy to follow instructions for assembly. It performs as it should and the push button start is a wonderful feature. As far as reliability, only time will tell.
