Exactly what I was looking for!

Everything arrived without damage or missing parts, so I'm looking forward to getting this beast up and running!
I was looking for a generator that could power my entire house in a power failure. I installed a 50a 250v interconnect at my main panel. I also installed a MicroAir Easy Start on my AC compressor to lower the inrush amps. I installed an IotaWatt power monitor and discovered that my average load ranged from 600 watts to about 7k watts with the a/c running but excluding my 240v powered appliances.
Except for the 240v dryer and oven, all my other loads should be easily handled by this big guy. I haven't used it yet, but for the money, I don't see anyone offering a generator that meets my requirements. I was a bit worried about the choking issues experienced by some reviewers. I will post an update later after I have run my generator and find out if I have any unpleasant surprises, I'm not expecting any!

Easy assembly

Unit arrived in a damaged box. Found a small dent and paint scraped off in two places on the frame. Assembly instructions were easy to follow but there was only enough oil included to fill to the bottom of the dip stick. Engine fired right up with propane. Seems like a well built unit.

This generator was highly recommended by our electrician who has one at his home. He said this model was the best product for the money anywhere. I am really impressed by how easy it is run and how easy it is to do regular maintenance- like changing the oil, etc. I would recommend the WGen9500DF to anyone in the market for a dependable and affordable home generator.

it won't work out of the box

Out of the box, it won't produce power at any of the outlets. All the suggestions in the booklet don't make the unit work. I called the 800 number and all they did was take my information--saying someone would call me back between 9-5 Monday -- Friday
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Started Right Up!

Worked great both on gas and LPG right out of the box on the pull start. I ran a small space heater as a load for 5-8 minutes. I am now charging the battery as it was not charged.

Excellent Generator --Just what we needed

After looking and comparing different generators, we chose the WGen9500DF which best meets our needs. We received the generator and my husband had it up and running in 1/2 hour. The assembly was easy. Great construction fit & finish. We tested with propane first and had no problems. Easy to read manual. We will definitely will have this generator for years to come.
