Dual and Plenty of Power

We chose the WGen9500DF generator for our 3000+ s.f. home in central NH because of our experience with unpredictable winter storms. We wanted a generator with dual power (gas and propane) we can rely on and this Westinghouse is a good bet for a great value! We feel prepared for this and future seasons!

Bought this at the end of August, like the dual fuel. Used the propane and it started on second try.
Would like it best if it idled down instead of high rpms all the time.

Unbeatable Value and Features

This generator is jam-packed with features, straight forward and
easy to access controls. My electrician had been recommending a couple of other brands to his customers for back up use and had not seen one of these. Not any more. My electrician saw mine and said it's the one he is going to get for his home.

Outstanding Product

I just received this yesterday, September 7, 2021. The package arrived in good condition but the pallet was beat up and broken. I unpacked the generation and saw that everything appeared to be fine. I added the oil and gas. The instructions were easy to understand. Following the instructions I attempted to start the generator electrically but it wouldn't start. Reviewed the directions again but it didn't start. I then decided to move the choke from the warm to cold position. The generator immediately started up electrically. I was under the impression that the choke was automatic when the electronic start was used. I used the FOB twice to start and stop the generator. I stopped it the last time from about 30 yards away. Home Depot didn't provide any updated shipping info. The generator arrive yesterday out of the blue.

Needed a portable generator

New arrival. I just purchased the WGen9500DF, and was registering it online. It gave me the option to write a review. My chief reason for purchase is home care for my mother-in-law. She is bed bound and on a feeding machine. There are frequent electrical outages in this region, and it is a necessity to maintain her electronic equipment. I have just purchased this, and have not yet used it. I initially wanted a certain portable generator, and I followed up with some research. I discovered that ONE I initially wanted is a rebrand of the Westinghouse, and realized that the Westinghouse was less expensive. Then I looked up a few "Top portable generators of 2021" lists, and either the WGen7500 or the WGen9500 were either on the top of the list or not far from the top. I have confidence that the WGen9500DF will accomplish what I need it to do.
