Great Workmanship

I purchased this generator on March 28, 2021 and it was delivered on April 9, 2021. Considering my order involved LTL shipping via truck from Ohio (I'm in Texas) that wasn't too bad. Today I finished setting it up and ran it using both Propane and Gasoline. The remote electric start is simply incredible.
This is my 2nd generator. The first one I bought from one of the big box retailers and the engine had t be replaced after only about 50 hours of use. This Westinghouse unit is so far superior to that other one, I can't even believe the difference. I'm not looking forward to another emergency situation where we have to use a generator again... but I am so much more confident now that I have this Westinghouse unit. LOVE IT!!

Dual Fuel equals total convenience

I bought the dual fuel generator so as to have a back up in case I run of fuel. The 9500DF also can run almost everything in the house.

Unboxed, added wheels and feet, added gas, started right up and away we go! My wife like the Westinghouse blue color too.

Just assembled and fired up for first time instructions were good and fired off on the 3rd attempt. Wheels don’t seem very high quality hope I’m wrong. Love that it comes with oil and a battery. alternator cover was scratched and dented upon arrival. Submitted request for replacement cover I hope they stand by their products. Overall happy but haven’t put it through a long test yet.

Just received the WGen9500DF generator. A little smaller than I had envisioned (good) but still looks like a very well made workhorse. Very pleased with the instructions and included literature. "Some assembly required" is right but the manual details extremely well.
Packaging was great, well thought out and very protective, it could have suffered a lot of abuse during shipping and still been perfect coming out of box. Included in the box: Oil, wheels, propane adapter hose, remote start fob and ac adapter cable to keep battery charged when not in use. (It even came with a great oil funnel!)
Toughest part of assembly was putting wheels and legs onto frame (you will need two people) but instructions were great and very clear. The manual includes a service schedule that uses the engine hour meter for when certain activities are required. Haven't used in a power outage yet but was pleasantly surprised that the engine meter shows both total run time (cumulative) as well as run time for current session (start to stop).

Great Generator

I bought this generator after the "snowpocalypse" in Texas because I want to be ready for the next tornado, major snowstorm, or natural disaster that takes down the power grid or even major power lines in my area. I like the dual fuel option and push start features and have been working with an electrician to install an interlock switch so this can be hooked up to our house. Now we will be ready and can function as a good neighbor to friends or folks in our neighborhood who may lose power. Come on over! We will still maintain power and be able to operate major appliances at our house! Definitely recommend this to people to be ready just in case of a major emergency.

I have been using an old Coleman 2500w for several years. Once I decided to update, I chose the Westinghouse 9500W DF. So far, so good! Way more power than I had been used too. Not as loud as you would expect for a generator this size. Tires are a little disappointing just being plastic, but I can change those out anytime. Very happy with this Genie!
