Great value with the power and features I need to provide backup power to my home. Dual fuel is a handy option for emergency power. The three different starting options was a real bonus!

Starts easily, runs more quietly than expected.

I just got this generator to replace an aged Yamaha 3000iseb for emergency backup purposes. I was concerned about the potential noise level. I have only run it on propane so far, but it started easily and runs more quietly than I expected.
I started it at my shop, where I plan to run it, and walked the 100 feet to the house behind the shop to ask if my wife thought it was too loud. I literally could not hear it. She was pleased.

After doing some research for an upgraded generator I purchased the WGen9500DF. I had a older 8K generator and we were looking for upgraded power after the last storm to ensure we can still use the stove and elec. water heater (as well as TVs, lights, etc) the next time. We upgraded the generator hook to 50AMP and wanted a generator to match. This is able to power our well pump, water heater, forced air oil furnace, elec stove top, and any light/TV in the house w/o breaking a sweat.
It was delivered on time and was able to set it up in about 30 minutes. Started easily and ran w/o issue.
FYI...Dont forget the small 'on switch' for the gas flow under the left side of the gas tank!

Unsurpassed quality and features

After months of researching generators I decided on the wgen9500df as my go to generator for my home. The run time of 14 hours on a 6.6 gallon tank of gas for running my 1700sq/ft home minus the main ac unit is bar none the best I have seen on the market today. That's all included running my lights, fridge , hot water heater, garage freezer, 2 computers , a tv and internet. I mean i cant ask for anything more from a portable generator. If you want to run ac unit sure you probably could but where I live its not a necessity.
