Fantastic Generator

This generator was so easy to set up out the box. It was extremely easy to get up in running. I had to wait for it to come back in stock. Can not tell you how happy I waited. Happy Birthday to me!!

Does not start or run on Gas

I bought Jun 19, 2020 and it was delivered Jul 07, 2020. Easy to assemble, but does not start nor run on gas, does great on propane. Drained gas and refilled just to make sure, but still no start nor run on gas. All switches/connections verified.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent Generator and Satisfied Customer!

I was in the market for a generator with enough wattage to power the majority of my 2200 sqft home and I finally settled on the WGen9500DF. Shipped directly to my door, unpacking and assembly took 10 minutes. Generator fired right up on both gas and propane. I have a natural gas water heater, range, and dryer, so my power needs aren't extremely high. However, this little power house ran my 4 ton ac (hard start capacitor), 2 fridge/freezer combos, numerous lights and other electronics while running on gas for 1 hour without issue. I'm confident when the next hurricane knocks out power, I'll be able to rely on this baby until power is restored. I have not yet had the need to contact customer service yet, however, I've heard/read that Westinghouse is superior to other brands. Another satisfied customer, thank you Westinghouse!

Very powerful generator

I bought this generator last week, and it seems perfect to run all my electrical appliances during a power outage!
One small problem with attaching one of the legs. The threading in the screw hole is messed up and the screw won't go in all the way.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Awesome features

I recently purchased this for multiple uses but mainly for a backup for my home. I decided on this particular one because of the dual fuel, ease of starting and compact size for its output. It will be easy for my wife to use if I’m out of town working and the power goes out. I have only used it once so far but am very pleased with the purchase.

Fantastic, but...

You cannot use it as a standby generator. The RUN switch cannot be left in the run position with the motor off. If you do, the battery will run down. In the run position I'm told that a trickle charger should not be used.
The big reason why I bought this was to avoid having to trudge outside in the middle of as snow storm to get it started. Granted, it then is just the flick of a switch and a push of a button, but I'm telling you, the snow and ice storms around here will require full winter garb before getting to the generator.
On top of that, I'm recently disabled, leaving my wife to this task. Both she & I thought it was going to be started from inside. Major disappointment.
Theoretically, I could hard wire a leg of the run switch to inside the house. Then I could control it all from inside. But, I'm sure Westinghouse will consider this a violation of sorts, and void the warranty.
I'm having an electrician out to the house to get his opinion.
What it comes down to is this: Why have a remote start key fob if you need to go to the generator first in order to use it?
Now the good stuff. Once it's running and hooked into our transfer switch, it powers along without a hiccup. Well pump comes on, and the motor doesn't even hint at strain. The unit, for its weight, is relatively easy to roll around. Controls, outside of above mentioned obstacles, are well laid out and easy to understand. Dual Fuel. Ahhhh, very nice. In the future I will be running on a dedicated propane tank, but for now I'm on gasoline.
The same electrician will be installing a service interrupt automatic transfer switch to replace my manual transfer switch. This is going to be great, once I figure a way around the fact that this generator can't be left in the power-up ready position. It is not a stand-by generator if you have to stand by it to make it run. What good is a remote start remote start if you have to walk to the generator first?.
I'd like to see any one argue against that if you were in my shape. I can barely walk at this point.
