Excellent Generator

I needed a larger generator after experiencing hurricane Helene. I looked at many different manufactures and decided on Westinghouse for several reason. Name brand, known quality, highly rated all over the Internet, and a very good value.

A True Life Saver

I purchased two (2) units almost three (3) years ago, one for myself (TX) and one for my mom (SC) and she used hers for the first time after a hurricane in October 2024 and power was lost for a few days. I quickly activated the unit and served well in providing service for my 86-year old mother. Thanks!

Really good generator

I bought this generator today. I came straight home unloaded it. Went through the manual to get ready to run it. Leveled it up put the supplied engine oil in it. Connected a propane tank to it. Hit the button and it the second time of the motor turning over. A bit louder than expected but I don't mind it. Let it run for 5 minutes before I started plugging stuff in. I shut the main breaker to my house and flipped on the generator breaker, using the 30amp twist lock outlet. It seemed to run the normal stuff in the house and a 110v air compressor in my garage. So I guess I'm ready for what ever the future holds for my wife and I.

After Hurricane Helene and the experiences my family had in western NC, I started seraching for a generator that would provide the power I needed and this one fit the bill. With the shortage of gasoline I witnessed I knew the dual fuel option was the only way to go. I also wanted an electric start that would allow my wife to operate it if I wasn't around to start it. This generator will be an important component of our emergency preparedness plan.
