I bought this generator mainly because it was the most powerful one my electric company said would work with the supplied transfer switch. I live in Florida and and have had many generators, but this model impressed me. Started first try with both gas and propane. It didn't take long for me to really test it out, as a tree took down some power lines after a storm. Never missed a beat, and it ran my well pump, 2 window A/C units, hot water heater and all 3 fridges/freezers for 2 days....I highly recommend this

Nice versatility for the size

Purchased this generator and have only gone through the initial set-up and start process and everything is well illustrated. The electric start features is very nice! Only concern was that the supplied motor oil only filled up the oil pan to the minimum amount. I had to use additional 10W30 oil to get to the appropriate level

TRUTH IN ADVERTISING! IMAGINE THAT

I bought this generator a week ago. It arrived 3 days later and I immediately set it up. Took under an hour from unboxing to startup on LP gas. The next day, power dropped and this generator ran two 15K BTU air conditioners for four hours while waiting for power to be restored .

Got the unit home and was able to set it up in no time. Should have enough power to run everything I need if we lose power after a hurricane.

Excellent Generator WGen9500DF

This is best Generator I ever have since I live in Florida for the last 42 years I have been thru many catastrophic hurricanes including hurricane Andrew and I never own a generator that was capable of running my entire house included my 5 ton central a/c unit, refrigerator, and basic lighting with no problems, is true that my water heater and dryer are natural gas but still a big load , I’m really impressed of the performance of this generator from Westinghouse the WGen9500DF, it came in a pallet in perfect condition within a few minutes I was able to rigged with the wheels, oil, connect the battery , the propane gas tank and make a test run, I use the remote control which is very convenient and run at the 2nd try right out the box, it run wonderful and strong, I let it warm up for a few minutes and did a load test in my house connecting one load at a time, the first time all the house except the central ac , including my 1 hp pool pump, and them did a second test, the 1st load was my central A/C (new 5 Ton Rheem 16 SEER ) and them I add the rest of the house circuits one by one except the pool pump because was really unnecessary, the generator runs great , I check the voltage 242 volts, frequency 60 Hz , normal temperature, let it run for about an hour and run extraordinarily great , at the end I let it run for a few minutes with no load for a cool down, I have no plan to run in emergency the central A/C since I have 2 windows portable ac units of 5000 btus each for two bedrooms and a portable 12000 btus to cool down the common areas at day time but I can included the rest of the house including the pool, and a 1/2 hp sump pump , so feeling that I’m ready for this coming hurricane season knowing that I have a generator is capable to run all my basic electrical loads in the house. I’m very happy with my new Westinghouse generator.
