We upgraded our manual transfer switch to ten circuits from six and needed a larger generator. After researching several manufacturers I was sold on the reviews from other purchasers. This WGen9500 DF is well made and designed for ease of maintenance. Very impressed with the control panel and accessory items included. The battery and grounding lug are easily accessible unlike by older generator. This is my fourth portable home standby generator and this is by far the most well designed.

After hooking up the LP gas, pouring in oil, checking the switches, giving it a little choke, and then pulling the handle --- it started right up. And powered up a circuit right away for me. I couldn't ask for more. Thank you!

I bought the wgen9500DF after comparing to other brands, reading endless reviews, and speaking with the Westinghouse Customer Service Department. This generator is a powerful, well engineered and generously equipped model. All the instructions and accessories arrived as expected, and the generator was in good condition.

Replacing a unit with about half the power but with only recoil start. I’m at the age and shape now that it’s not a guarantee that I’ll have the strength or endurance to get it started. With this unit both myself and my wife feel comfortable in knowing that we can maintain our house with this well built and very sturdy generator.

We wanted a unit that would run our 2 refrigerator freezers, the pond pump, aerator as well as phones and this does that and then some. We also love that it's dual gas and propane. Quite versatile!
