Great Backup Power for the house!

I purchased this generator to serve as my primary backup power should our electricity go out. We are prone to electrical failure throughout the year and we are all electric in that we don’t have natural gas or propane available so this generator is a much needed stress reliever. It was packaged exceptionally well and I’m looking forward to running it through the paces.

A review would be more appropriate after it’s tested for a long period. However, the generator seems like a decent build for the cost and loaded with features including, 50 amp hookup, battery quick connect for a battery conditioner, carb bowl has easy access to drain, remote, meter to track hours for service, dual fuel and a 3 year parts warranty (supposedly). From an initial standpoint, it appears to be far superior than a HF Predator Brand. Mine is made in Vietnam, which in my experience is typically better than China. Only time will tell. Now I understand why Westinghouse generators have so many more reviews than competitors. They offer a free gift (cover) if you leave a review. This leads me to think that the majority of the reviews are not from long-term use, but only when it is new.

too late for the hurricane

no more power outages, just received. Had a interlock switch installed and a soft start on my heat pump. I did a break in then a trial run. Worked perfectly, powered the whole house
including the heat pump. Also was able to use one burner on our radiant cooktop.
this will get us through any future outages. Very pleased

Great purchase just before winter hits. Thankfully, haven't had to use it yet but the unit is sturdy, in perfect shape, arrived promptly.
