Easy setup, plenty of power

Out of box experience was easy. Cut the box down the corners, and tip the unit onto its side, on the cardboard. Bolt on feet (wrench included in box) and install one wheel with a cotter pin. Roll unit onto the other side and install the other wheel. Tip upright and fill the oil with the funnel, both included. Connect the battery wire, then thread on the included propane hose/valve. Connect your tank, open its valve, set the unit to propane, then hit start. I connected the 50A outlet to our transfer switch, and can run all the 120v stuff in our house, no problem. Hopefully, having this set up will insure us from any further outages.

I bought this a month ago and I’m so happy that I did because we seem to lose power a lot the winter and my old generator was not cutting it. This generator has plenty of power and outlet choices. The versatility of the dual fuel is a bonus as well as the remote start. I like using the propane option so I don’t have to worry about gasoline contamination. I highly recommend this product.

We bought this generator a few months ago when our older generator needed replacing and I'm so glad we did. Minimal assembly required and it works great. When we lost power it started right up and did exactly what we purchased it for!

One ridiculous issue that should be fixed.

So the good first. My electrician ran a 50 amp breaker and tied it into the whole house. I thought I would need to select important ones and set it up that way. He said no this should run your whole house providing you don't go crazy meaning use a little common sense and not overdo it.
So of course me being the procrastinator that I am I didn't set up the generator until the power went out. The set up is pretty easy and I got the thing up and running. I went inside turned the main breaker off. Started the generator went back in and through my 50 amp breaker on and we were in business. It ran for 2.5 hours until the power went back on. To my way of thinking I won't store gasoline for the generator. First thing I did was run the generator on propane to get it going. If I thought this was to be a long outage I would have went and bought gasoline also. Everything ran perfect on propane the heat, lights, two refrigerators freezers so I was very pleased with the performance.
Now for the bad. There is no reason I can think of to have the 50 amp outlet on the generator impeded by the unfortunate placement of the wheel. The 50 amp extensions cord is very thick and was in the garage which made it very difficult to plug into the generator. So difficult that I wound up breaking a little piece of the outlet by the ground lug. I don't see it being a problem holding the cord in place but I would love to get it repaired and would also like a response from WH ( that's Westinghouse not the White House) I still give the generator 4 stars although it could have been lower because of this. Therefore, if you have a 50 amp extension cord that comes down on the angle which I believe most will because of the shear weight of the cord you actually have to bend the cord between the wheel and the generator to plug it in. now that I think about it 4 stars is for sure generous because of this problem.
I posted a picture and the top slot is the ground slot and that's the one that is broken although it looks pretty normal it's now larger because I chipped it because of the difficulty plugging in.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this last month. Have not had to use yet but set up was easy and was very pleased to push the button and hear it start up. I hate power outages but am looking forward to trying this generator out. Was very pleased with the low noise level with the generator at well.
