The WGen9500DF is very well made and easy to move. The 9,500 running and 12,500 peek watts is sufficient to power my entire 2,900 sqft house, even the 4 ton AC with breaker management. Easy to store in the garage and pull out for quick hook-up in a power loss. Just move outside the garage door, hook up a propane tank, and plug the 50 amp cord in to feed the breaker panel.

Have owned the generator for a few months and so far it has been great. It is nice to have the dual fuel option. An assortment of plug options on the control panel to fit your needs. I love the remote start/stop key chain to make operation that much easier

I bought this a month ago and have run it 3 times - once right out of the box (easiest unboxing of my life!) and twice because we needed it! Thrilled with the purchase already, customer support has been reliable too.

I got this generator after the Texas winter storm. It has enough power to run most of my house (which is 100% electric) using the the 50A 240v plug connected to my main panel. Now I'm ready for the next outage!

DELIVERED RIGHT INSIDE MY GARAGE , REMOTE START WAS A PLUS BONUS , NOT AS NOISY AS THE OTHER GENERATOR.

Home Backup Option
on March 7, 2021

Just bought this generator for home backup in prep for hurricane season this year. Been thru too many storms without power. Got this generator for the features, wattage output, reputation of Westinghouse, and price point. Will definitely help running key items around the house. Hooking it up thru a manual transfer switch to avoid the hassle of extension cords running everywhere. Decided on a portable generator as it was a more economical option to a whole home generator, and it can travel with us if we move.

I bought this generator to replace a 20 year old Onan portable generator I use for back up power to my house. I run off propane so I don't have to worry about gasoline going bad or the carburetor gumming up. I got it out of the box. filled up the oil, connected the propane line and turned on the propane tank. I tried the remote control first and it started right up on the second try and ran it to get warm then stopped it with the remote. Waited a few minutes then tried starting it with the start button on front panel and it started right up. Let it run a few minutes then stopped it with the front panel start/stop button. I am impressed with its performance right out of the box. The remote is a nice feature too.
