Nice sized generator

I purchased this to replace a gasoline only generator. The ability to use propane was a selling point for me. Trying to keep carburetors from gumming up with old gasoline is a hassle.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy setup

This was bought for a project that has no power hook-up. The set -up was so easy. I will advise that you read over the directions before doing the remote start pairing. It was very simple to do. Just take it easy!
The generator fired up after a push on the stater of about 3 seconds. Very impressed!
Also, it takes the whole bottle of engine oil and 5 gals of gas to fill.

Love the remote start

I bought this a while back to have on hand in case the power goes out again. I don’t use it often but every time I’ve needed it it started right up. It provides ample energy to keep the house warm and the food cold. It’s also very handy out on the edge of my property Where I don’t have electricity. I can roll it out and plug things in.
I would recommend this to a friend!

WGen9500DF - Easy to setup & start... works great!

I received the Westinghouse 9,500/12,500-Watt Dual Fuel Portable Generator (WGen9500DF) on March 6. It was packaged nicely and easy to cut the box sides and slide the unit out as the instructions stated.
Setup was easy and took like 15 minutes. I reread the directions a couple of times and viewed the unit prior to attempting setup. Simple steps to install foot supports and 2 back wheels, connect battery junction and add oil.
I chose to perform initial startup using the auto start feature. I pressed the start button for 2 seconds. The unit attempting to start, paused, attempted a 2nd time, paused, then started on the 3rd attempt. I wasn't sure what it would do but easy 1st startup!
I let run with nothing attached for a few hours. I stopped it using the remote key. Pressed STOP for a second or two and it shut off. After a couple minutes I pressed the start option on the remote for a second and it started right back up!
We had some welding to do down at our pond (about 400' from the back of house). Used the generator to power the welder and a couple grinders. Worked fantastic!

Almost perfect for my intended use

After lots of research, I settled on the WGen9500DF as an alternate whole home power source. It's very well built and maintenance should be a snap. Assembled and added oil and it fired up immediately on propane. I ran a few power tools and the generator hardly noticed. It's a bit noisier than I anticipated but it's going to be housed in a fairly noise dampening environment.
It's not so big as to be unwieldy and it wheels around very easily.
I hope I never need it as intended but It will serve many purposes.
If you're looking for a good solid piece of equipment to power just about anything, this is it!

Easy for me to handle

I will not have to worry about a power outage in the future. This generator can power my whole house. The installer gave me all the instructions step by step to start the generator if I need it. This is such a relief to me. Love the key fob for starting!
