I bought this as a backup generator as we seem to lose power at least once a year and my little 2k generator just isn't cutting it for the power I actually need. I like that it's dual fuel but I plan on using LP only as I hate having to do the maintenance with running gasoline engines.
Right out of the box, the wheels and riser feet were simple to install. Followed the instruction manual to get it running ready, filled oil and started right up off a 30lb LP tank. While this will hopefully be used sparingly when the power is out, my review is based off an initial test run. I don't foresee this generator getting heavy use but I feel so much more comfortable having an option for power, when we lose ours in the increasing storm outages in our area.
Next up is to build an outside housing, install a transfer switch and get a couple 100lb LP tanks and I should be more than ready for any lengthy outage. The remote start will become a nice feature at that point and my wife will even be able to get it up and running, if I weren't home to do so.
If anything changes down the road, I'll update my review.

I received the wgen9500DF on 7/20/21. First start up 7/24/21 was easy. It ran very smooth and steady. Im waiting for break in before I put a load on it , it may get another Star ?

Bought this for home power and was surprised at the low noise level and pleased with the key start. it was super simple to understand and set up. almost cant wait for the next power outage.

Absolute beast of a generator for the price!

They have have been doing a lot of power line rerouting in our area and there are many days that the power will be off for several hours while they are working.
We got this generator to plug into our homes 50 amp inlet to breaker box as a whole home backup.
This has not only powered our 3.5 ton AC, but also many lights, fridge, freezer, wifi and computers.
The wireless remote start is also a much appreciated bonus. We love this thing.

Excellent Preparedness Equipment

I live in Florida. Ordered this generator June 23, 2021 arrived July 23, 2021. Had it up and running in an hour. Ran this generator with both propane and gas. I am able to power everything in our house except air conditioning and dryer. This is a great unit.
