Hopeful, lots of features had a rough start.

Initially when I received my new generator it would not start using gas. After cleaning out the carb the generator now works on gas. A brand new generator shouldn't need any servicing. Westinghouse also sent me a new carb so at least I have a backup. I have only got to test the generator out for about 30 minutes. So far so good.

Great start so far

Generator delivered this morning. Came in excellent condition. Followed setup steps, added oil. Ran a startup cycle before adding fuel. Figured this would get oil circulating. Added gas and it started right up. Runs very smooth. I really like the push button start and the remote will perhaps save that late night trip outside to power down when commercial power is restored. So far, overly impressed with the 9500 DF

Nice generator

Out of the box two of the mounts/vibration absorbers connected to the the frame were barely on. Had to tighten them up. No problem, easy fix as I’m already installing the feet. Of course this made me feel like I needed to check every single bolt and nut afterwards lol but everything was good. i was worried about the higher thd (23%) and “sensitive electronics” but no issues have arisen as a result. Love that this is one of the more fuel efficient generators out there. I use the 50amp outlet to an inlet box installed outside my house with interlock on breaker box so as not to back feed etc….powers my furnace, fridge, lights etc… just don’t use stuff like your oven, blow dryers, laundry dryers… you know… things that make electrical heat. my wife is mad about all the upfront costs of the entire set up (electrical install costs, generator, propane (because propane stores forever as long tank integrity is still good vs 6months for gasoline plus in large scale outages everybody wants gasoline), cable) but she can thank me later when the next derecho hits or other abnormally long interruption in power

I had been looking at purchasing a generator for a while now, and a friend and electrician recommended this dual fuel generator since it can run cleanly using propane. Its a good size, portable, and fits our needs perfectly

Arrived this morning, read instructions, added oil, connected battery, ran for 10 minutes, connected 3 electrical appliances, starting each a few minutes apart with no loss of power.

Upon receiving this generator I was very pleased with how the instructions were on getting it set up and start the generator! Everything to me was user-friendly and the features will help in maintaining it!
