Excellent Generator for the price!

We have a Westinghouse generator that is a little smaller than this one. It worked great this past winter during an outage that lasted for three days. The generator work nonstop. We were so pleased with that generator that we decided to buy a bigger one
just to be able to handle more appliances throughout the house. This generator is excellent quality and I would recommend it to anyone.

Home Generator

I purchased this generator to hook up to our home, as a power backup.
I had previously installed a 30amp breaker and outlet, to use our sons generator, which is rotting away in our shed. His generator is very difficult to pull start and unreliable. According to my wife, there was no way she would be able to start it, should I be hurt or unavailable.
This is a wonderful step up.
What I Like:
It is VERY easy to start. Has a large push button start that activates the engine immediately.
Has a remote start Key FOB that worked from our windowless basement, 12 feet down and 25 feet away from the generator. (It is where our electric panel is located.)
Outside Noise level is acceptable, no louder than a log splitter or mower.
After putting a gallon of gas in I tried to start it. It cranked, however did not start.
Added another gallon of gas and we were, Off to the Races. Started & Worked Perfect. I disconnected the 'Bonded Neutral," since we are plugging directly to the house, and the house circuit box is grounded.

Comes with all the accessories needed to get up and running including a Battery Charger! Did require a little more oil than provided.
Very pleased with this purchase. We have a large home; well pumps, sewer pumps, circulating pump for tap water, outdoor wood burning furnace with underfloor heating installed, which requires additional water pumps. And of course refrigerators, furnace fan and lighting.This generator can easily handle the load. I do not think we will be washing and drying clothes during a power outage, so I am not considering that option.
The manual was very helpful. It depicts exactly how to 'unbond the neutral,' on the generator.

Very smart to have included both a 30amp & 50amp plugin on the generator. I can use our existing 30 amp outlet. I have run 6 gauge wire and will be hooking up a 50amp outlet..

Just bought the unit and had some hidden damage. Not sure if it will effect operation of the unit. Did call their support line and they advised a representative would call me back. Never did get a callback from Customer Service. Not a good sign for future questions. Overall quality and operational instructions seem very good. Seems like a well built machine. Would buy this unit again.

I have given this generator 4 stars for the simple reason we haven’t used it yet! The construction of the machine is impressive. Everything was packaged nicely. The crate was delivered intact without any damage. My husband was able to attach the wheels without any problems except the generator is heavy & it took both of us to lift it up on a wedge! We are elderly! ❤️ We were impressed, & recommended it to family!
