I bought the wgen9500DF after comparing to other brands, reading endless reviews, and speaking with the Westinghouse Customer Service Department.This generator is a powerful, well engineered and generously equipped model. All the instructions and accessories arrived as expected, and the generator was in good condition.

After hooking up the LP gas, pouring in oil, checking the switches, giving it a little choke, and then pulling the handle --- it started right up. And powered up a circuit right away for me. I couldn't ask for more. Thank you!

Excellent Choice!

We upgraded our manual transfer switch to ten circuits from six and needed a larger generator. After researching several manufacturers I was sold on the reviews from other purchasers. This WGen9500 DF is well made and designed for ease of maintenance. Very impressed with the control panel and accessory items included. The battery and grounding lug are easily accessible unlike by older generator. This is my fourth portable home standby generator and this is by far the most well designed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

remote worked from the house to the shed 100' +

This thing is heavy remember that you will need help to get in and out of the Suv yes it fit. Put the wheels on it started up checked voltage works great.used propane for start up the remote worked .I bought it for back up power hope I don't need it . All of the other stuff needed to be ordered . None of the local big box or little stores had the extension cord or the receptacle for 240 volt 50 amp.

I bought this generator a little over a month ago and I'm extremely pleased with it. The Duel fuel will come in handy for us during hurricane season, allowing us to run on gasoline that we have at home and then running off of propane after that. As it could be several days that we would be able to get gasoline again, if it is a bad storm.
