Perfect for whole house backup

Bought this as a whole house backup. It should power just about everything minus the AC units unless I run them by themselves.
Of note, the 50 Amp plug is protected by a 30 Amp CB so it is limited to 30 amps maximum output at 240 volts. The running amps is less. To get the most out of the generator for a whole house system you will need to use both the 30 amp and 50 amp plugs wired to either separate panels or separate sides of your house CB load panel. If this doesn't make sense to you then you want to have an electrician do the wiring.

just arrived today, set up was simple nearly done before driver got out the driveway.
only area for improvement: oil included was not enough to bring it up to proper level. Not a big deal if you have some to add. a trip to the store for a few ounces of oil would be annoying.

Awesome startup

Just received my 9500DF generator today, and it works like a champ! Initial startup took two tries, oil needed to circulate, but it cranked right up on the first attempt after that. The construction of this unit is very tough and is perfect for my construction site power.

I have not had to use my generator in an emergency situation, but I found that it is very easy to move around and to start. The keyless start is a definite bonus. I also really like that it is duel-fuel. It seems that it will be easy to set up and start when I need to use it.
