Great on fuel consumption wgen9500df

Bought during a huge snow storm I knew my old generator was on its last legs arrived just in time the old one gave out completely ran my whole house for the remainder of power outage that lasted 14 days. Have 52 hours now first 2 oil changes done 25hr and 50 for break in. Get yourself a gallon of a good 10 /30 oil takes a little more than a quart per oil change but I know a guy who ran the first 100 hrs no oil change and his is doing just fine but deffinatly change your oil don't be that guy. Have no used propane yet but nice as a back up source make sure you follow the manual and you will be just fine.

Easy setup

Super easy . Put on the legs and wheels, add oil, connect fuel source and battery. Started right up. And it being a generator I predicted it would be very loud....not saying it is quiet but not bad at all from inside the house. It is heavy so you need to have someone help you or get some books to prop it up to get the legs and wheels on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just got the generator today. I assembled the loose items (wheels and feet) and used the supplied funnel to add the oil that was also supplied. They also send a wrench to use to assemble the loose items and to use for changing the oil. The battery was not charged enough to start the generator so I plugged up the trickle charger and waited about an hour. I had already added gas and made sure the fuel was turned on. When I tried to start it using gas for the fuel source it would not start. The battery died from attempting to start it so I tried using the pull start. I pulled until I got tired and then hooked the trickle charger back up. A little while later I hooked up a propane tank and switched the fuel selector and hit the start button and it started right up. I am going to let it run for a little while so I can get a better charge in the battery and then see if I can get it running on gas. The generator looks very well built and I am excited to be able use it when I need it. Luckily I don't need it right now so I have time and patience to figure out what the issue is with running on gas.

I purchased this generator back in may and easy and remote start features make it a pleasure to operate. Run time is is great at 50-60% load!
