Great features!

Wished I had bought this a week earlier when much of VA endured week long power outage. In addition to the high wattage capacity, there are a lot of excellent features that I did not appreciate until I got to toy around with it. I must say I'm very fond of the remote start capability and the auto-choke that alleviates trudging through deep snow and dealing with cold temps to get it started. Besides testing it out with a 1000W work lamp, I have not had this generator long enough to see it in action during an actual power outage but I'm confident it will do the job.

Having trouble with mine

I like all the features. It is giving me a bit of a fit out of the box. Upon initial set up I have not been able to get it to run off gasoline, only propane. I have called tech support but there experiencing “high call volume”. I have tried all that I can without someone with experience telling me hey it’s that. So now we wait….

Great generator!

I bought this generator a month ago and had my electrician run what was needed. So far so good. I’m glad I’m prepared if a snowstorm happens again in Texas.

Great backup generator

bought this after going a month without power last year. Hooks right up to my 50a manual xfer switch and runs like a dream off propane. Highly recommended

Shipping was a little late, but no fault of anyone really. Bad weather and limited everything during these times. Arrived in 3 weeks tho, so very satisfied. No damage to the box and it was brand new, everything was there. Love the dual fuel capabilities, and the ease of putting together right out of the box. Everything is included to get her up and running within 30-45 minutes. Remote, push button, and recoil start are solid. Very long range on the FOB. The capacity and looks of this machine are really nice. Learn your power management loads to size to whatever your needs are. This can power my 1800 SQFT home and then some. What I did to break her in was: Inspected the entire machine for factory inefficiencies. Did not find a single thing wrong with it. Then I did 3 oil changes with conventional motor oil. 1 hour run time between each oil change with 20 minutes cool down between each oil change. READ THE MANUAL that comes in the box. Lots of valuable information in there, written by the experts. After the 3rd oil change I switched over to the synthetic oil for extreme cold/hot temperatures. Then I powered up some loads to see how she would do. Handled everything (heaters, power tools, etc) with no issues whatsoever. Very happy with my Westinghouse generator purchase! Well built and very rugged.

Timely Arrival

We recently had a really bad snow storm that caused us to be without power for several days. Because of that, we knew we needed a generator. However, they were being ordered and bought us very quickly. So we became worried we would not receive on in time for the next predicted storms. But we did! We ordered this and got it within a week just before our next storm! Very happy with that.
