Good unit.

I bought the 9500DF a year ago as an emergency power supply. It arrived on time without a problem. It started right up and ran smoothly on propane with required power output. I ran it for about 30 minutes and then put it in storage for a year. When I got it out and tried it again it started right up again. I am pleased with this unit. I feel it will be ready when I need it.

Very Impressed with Unit

I purchased the 9500DF unit for power backup in our home. Unit arrived in good condition, easy to assemble and move around after assembly. I plan to use propane mostly to avoid the extra maintenance of gasoline in the carburetor. I connected a 15 lb propane tank, the unit started immediately with the remote. I purchase a 13' 6-gauge extension cord and connected it to a 50 amp outside outlet. Generator ran fine with an electrical load, very pleased with unit so far.

Westinghouse Portable Generator Review

Wanted a portable home generator for some time. This generator is well made, relatively quiet and can be used with both propane and gasoline. It was delivered with oil, battery charger and the hookup for propane. Another unique feature is the remote start and stop. Will still need to make or purchase the home hookup cable.

I purchased this generator based on the recommendation of friends and family that own the same unit and are satisfied. I’ve yet to use it but it arrived undamaged and appears to be of quality construction.

I bought this 9500 generator because my last one was too small. This machine is amazing! The electric start is such a nice feature and works easy as starting my truck. This generator runs my whole house! I wish I'd bought it years ago.

Just received the Westinghouse WGEN9500DF unit. Uncrated and assembled with ease. Added oil and connected propane. Started right up! Love that this unit over most others in it's size class has covered outlets. Looking forward to getting it connected to my home with a transfer switch and ready for use before our next power outage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
