Great Options

After much due diligence we decided on this generator because of positive reviews, size and options. Very happy to have the choice between gas or propane, it has a remote starter, is easily movable and hassle than enough power for our needs.
It arrived without any damage and in a timely manner. Hope we won't need it, but very happy we are ready!

Engine purrs like a kitten. After my last generator, I am really enjoying the easy start-up. The dual fuel feature sank the putt for me. Really liking all the features and value for the money.

Versatile/Quiet

I bought this generator a couple of months ago and I'm very pleased with the features (dual fuel Propane and Gasoline, on-line fuel switching w/o the need to shutdown the generator, push-button and remote start, low noise (decibels), multiple outlets)

Amazing features, big power, small package

I originally bought a Champion 12,500/15,000 as a backup to power my home in case of an outage. I discovered that my house is pretty energy efficient as it would run my entire house including A/C, oven, stove, dryer, washer, lights, TV, everything simultaneously. I was ecstatic…until I ran a fuel efficiency test. With a 2,000 W load, it ran for 1 hour 15 minutes on one gallon of gas. As I thought about what an outage would be like, I didn’t like the thought of burning through 20 gallons of fuel every 24 hours (and that’s only with a minimal load). That’s 4 gas cans, and gas can be hard to find as I discovered during the winter storms that occurred In February 2021. The Wgen9500DF offers a ton of features that the Champion didn’t offer. Most importantly, it’s fuel efficiency is unrivaled in the open frame category. That same 2,000 W load should run for 2 hours 45 minutes on the same one gallon of gas. On top of that, you get one touch auto-choke start (champion has manual choke with starter switch), Remote start, dual fuel, a fuel gauge, and a considerably smaller and lighter package. As a plus, this generator arrived undamaged and the battery connection was much simpler to make than it was on the Champion generator. The only 2 things I’m sacrificing are 2,000W less of running/starting watts and the digital load meter. I’m mostly bummed about the lack of load metering but during the Champion testing, normal house was under 30% load so I know this generator has plenty of power to do what I need it to. Setup was fairly simple and moving it to the back yard was much easier than the 300+ lb Champion was. It fired up on the 2nd try and ran smoothly. I still need to hook it up to my 50A transfer switch and break it in, but given the thousands of highly positive reviews this unit has received, I’m confident it will perform flawlessly.

Bought this generator on a Friday, it arrived the following Monday without any damage. Monday night I took it out of the box and put the tires and feet on it. Took the manuals inside and read
through them. Next morning I went out and out I’ll in it, charted the battery, turned the switch over to propane and it started right up. Definitely love the digital voltage readout with the volts, frequency, and run hours on it. Definitely will help with maintenance. Can’t wait to see how this generator holds up in the future.
