I bought this recently for a back up for my house and boy does it deliver. I even had my hot tub running and 2000sq ft house running as normal. Of course we are all energy efficient being in California but non the less it is more than enough. The only thing is that is is a little bit loud but I fixed that by building a box with a fan and well ventilation. Helps a lot of you want to run 24/7. Glad we went with this instead of going the very pricey route.

Fits Our Needs

We needed a product with enough power to run our appliances and lights - with a little to spare. This is what the 9500DF provides for us. It is also relatively quiet and can operate on either gas or propane, making fuel storage much easier. One bonus benefit that we really needed was the electric start. We dreaded the idea of pulling a cord, which, at our age, is not that easy. The generator is solid, but not so heavy that I could not attach the feet and the wheels myself. The lift-up handle makes it easy to move.

Arrived in perfect shape. Started right up.

Delivery was 3 days and the generator showed up in perfect condition. Followed the directions to put in the oil, connect battery, attach wheels and handle. I connected it to a propane tank. It started up right away with the remote and appears to operate fine. Voltages all look good but I haven't had it under any heavy loading yet. I really like the controls and look of the generator. The propane option is great to have. Very pleased with my purchase.
I do think they should upgrade the plastic wheels for this heavy duty generator. If they do, please send the newer heavy duty wheels out to those of use that have purchased this generator. Thanks in advance.

Peace Of Mind

Being retired and in our first year in Florida and not knowing what to expect during hurricane season, my wife and I wanted a portable generator to help when city electric is down and not available during a storm. We purchased the WGen9500DF to power our home AC unit along with other kitchen appliances. The wireless remote allows us to stay indoors and start generator when needed and avoid the need to go outside and get wet. The designers did a good job on this unit.
